Building a Regenerative Economy —via shared stewardship and leadership

Community of Praxis (CofP)

Powered by Cooperation Racine’s vision of Cooperative Creative Economies which emerge from a comprehensive reimagining of the arts ecosystem as an equitable and inclusive space to pool resources, strengthen artistic and business skills, and expand professional networks, particularly for queer Black women and femmes, non-binary folx, disabled individuals, and multigenerational families, the CofP brings together Chicagoans to map our needs, build strategy, and develop regenerative neighborhood based projects. CofP kicked off in summer 2025 with three tracks: Worker Co-ops, Self-Directed IRA Investing, and Permanent Real Estate Co-op/Housing Co-ops. We are guided by a shared vision and commitment to accessible, democratically stewarded housing, business, and third spaces for families in Chicago.
