Cooperation Racine’s building is currently under construction and does not host traditional on-site programming. However, rather than wait until our building opens (Fall 2025), we began activating our greenspace in Summer 2023 and will pilot select winter events with patio-style heaters.
Throughout 2024, we are offering services:
1) Virtually
2) At clients’ sites
3) Co-located with community partners
Cooperation Racine’s outreach strategy has remained hyper-local, forgoing social media, building relationships through doorknocking, and attending neighborhood events. As we expand our partnerships and services, we remain intentional about being listeners and learners, particularly since Englewood has experienced “parachute philanthropy” and programs that failed to gain the trust and buy-in of local residents.
Cooperation Racine’s community engagement will move at “the speed of trust.”
